Our Story
World Campus Connections (WCC) started as a means to help young adults be successful in life. Through that pursuit, we identified 3 pillars of success, one of those being Learning. As an educator and life long learning student himself, our co-founder Professor Tony Guice, wanted to take a structured approach to organizing WCC's stance on learning and education. He first wanted to align with an existing framework and common philosophy. To that end, he identified and adopted the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 (SDG 4) as the common principles by which WCC would follow. Created in 2015 by the United Nations, the Sustainable Development Goals were a "call to action" to address a broad range of social and economic development issues. The 17 interconnected global goals identified were a means to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030. SGD 4 would serve as the goal to eliminate disparities in education and provide equal access to quality education for all. This is WCC's mission and goal.
Professor Guice further realized that many of today's students are unprepared for the technologically-driven global society of tomorrow. He therefore integrated the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) concept into the focus areas of WCC's framework. With his own daughter studying Engineering in college, he saw first-hand the rigor of the discipline and the gaps in preparation of many students. Together, the Sustainable Development Goals along with a STEAM focus, became the basis of the work the we do at World Campus Connections.

SDG4 Targets
As part of SDG4, there are 10 broad targets that the UN has identified to help meet the goal of equal access to quality education. World Campus Connections uses these targets to help define our service offerings.

Our Philosophy
We believe in the power of STEAM! Therefore, we seek to espouse these concepts to our students in hope that they will embrace some form of adoption in their own studies. As complex world economies evolve, STEAM provides the background and acumen to compete in the marketplace. Students who embrace STEAM as part of their career preparation often find more opportunities and enjoy greater job security.

STEAM Focus
STEAM Driven
To be STEAM driven means that we incorporate these disciplines in everything we do. As a fundamental belief, we feel that STEAM curriculums provides for a more well-rounded individual. Therefore, we incorporate the Arts, as well as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math into our programs and initiatives.
Entrepreneurship
Another leg of our philosophy is the strong support and belief in Entrepreneurial endeavors in conjunction with student's STEAM education. We believe that a business acumen married with STEAM concepts provides the best pairing of skills for today's competitive environment. As a Professor of Accounting and business professional, Professor Guice has long championed this concept throughout his over 30-year career.
